Duo

It's strange how one moment, that moment of birth,
Can suddenly change your life and your girth!
But oh! What a feeling, that moment you knew,
Instead of one babe, it was definitely two!

You feel somewhat dazed, in a whirl and in shock,
Turning first to your doctor, you husband, then Spock!
But soon things get calmer, you come down to earth,
You realize you're special - giving a MULTIPLE birth!

Your friends all admire you, how clever! Well done!
Asking, "How do you do it?, I can't compete with one!"
But God gives us strength when motherhood begins,
With an extra big helping to us MOTHERS OF TWINS!

The Joy of Twins

I never thought it would happen to me
When I found out I said, "This just can't be." 
I cried and I sighed what win I do.

Many a day goes by when there's much to be done,
You sometimes think--If I only had one. 
You say to yourself, now where do I begin ... 
The things you accomplished will surprise you to no end 
Your work and your worries are doubled that's true, 
But the joys, love, and laughter... that's doubled, too.

You're proud and happy and living really begins-
The day you become the Mother of Twins.
Everyday you will say a prayer or two because God chose you!
